First Annual Halloween Contest!

We are pleased to announce our first contest here at Scryptic Magazine! The contest will be blindly judged by co-editors Chase Gagnon and Lori A Minor.

Contest rules:

1. Three winners will be chosen in two separate categories: visual art, which includes photography, paintings, drawings, haiga, mixed media, and photo collages, and textual, which will include all forms of poetry, short stories up to 1k words, and prose

2. Send all submissions to scrypticcontest@gmail.com with the subject reading "Scryptic Contest- textual art" or "Scryptic Contest- visual art". Submissions to both categories are welcome, but you may only submit two pieces per category.

3. Prizes for both categories are:

First place: A copy of New Resonance 10, a Scryptic Mug, and an e-certificate

Second place: a Scryptic keychain, and an e-certificate

Third place: a Scryptic keychain and an e-certificate

4. The theme for our contest is Halloween, but this does not limit you to using the word Halloween in your work! Let your imagination run free!

5. All text MUST be sent in the body of the email and images should be attached in JPEG format

6.All work submitted must be unpublished work that has not appeared on social media, including Facebook.

7. Entries will only be accepted from October 5th to October 25th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time

8. Winners will be announced on Halloween night!

We will be compiling ALL entries into a book which will be available to purchase in the weeks following the contest!
